Enstin Labs team using GaN devices from VisIC Technologies has developed a 6.6kW, GaN-based PFC with digital control. The switching frequency used for the totem pole PFC is 100kHz and efficiency achieved is greater than 98.6%. The totem pole PFC is most suitable converter to be used as front end converter of On-board chargers for EV.
